As a composer, Plansker is passionate about finding a Romantic sound in the modern day. His works and style take an inspired approach from the composers and art of the early 20th century, and explore genres ranging from solo piano repertoire to opera. Through numerous commissions and projects, his works have been performed across North America and Europe by groups such as the Toronto Chamber Choir, StEP: Stichting Ensemble Project & Orchestra Lagrandt. He frequently collaborates with poet Kat Mulligan.
